Tropical Chocolate Paradise

Imagine reclining in a hammock on the beach on a deserted tropical island. The waves wash gently along the shore, mingling with the call of sea birds and the splash of dolphins near shore to create a sort of music. This would be a perfect vacation – if only the sun wasn’t beating down so hard! You feel like you’re about to be fried. How to remedy this problem? Go into the beachside villa and make yourself a decadent, refreshing smoothie!

Tropical Chocolate Paradise Smoothie

“It’s a perfect blend of the tart and the sweet.” – my Mom, who let me make one for her after I had one and recommended it. (This was a shock, since she usually only wants a peanut butter smoothie.)

  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup raspberries
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 Yoplait chocolate mousse style yogurt
  • 1 tbsp apricot pineapple jam
  • 1/2 cup orange slices, fresh or frozen (I froze my own orange)
  • 6 ice cubes (if orange slices are fresh not frozen)

Put all ingredients in blender. Blend for at least a minute, then stir. If there are still fruit chunks in the smoothie, blend another thirty seconds.

When done blending, sit back, relax and enjoy!

  1. “Tropical” “chocolate” and “paradise” all sound good.

  2. This is that one I made for you, that once-in-a-blue-moon time you didn’t insist on a peanut butter smoothie.
