My latest personal food craze is sneaking a dessert into meals that aren’t really supposed to have desserts in them, such as breakfast. I sometimes eat chocolate chip oatmeal, a banana with a chocolate peanut butter spread, and/ or pastries such as gluten – free mini donuts from Whole Foods. As you can see, I’ve found tricks to eat healthy and have fun foods at the same time! One of my favorite breakfast/desserts is smoothies that are sort of like milkshakes. Lately I’m into adding chunks of something yummy at the end, like vegan cookie dough. I haven’t had a milkshake since I was like four, but I daresay my smoothie “shakes” taste even better – and I don’t have to feel guilty eating them for breakfast! I’ve called these smoothies “dessertable” because they could be served as a dessert or a breakfast or treat for anytime during the day.
